Sweet Tree by Browns is a boutique confectioner specialising in personalised chocolate gifts which aim to surprise and delight. Its novel products feature some of the most well-loved chocolate and sweets brands in the UK and many also its include its own secret recipe Belgian chocolate crispy crunch.

Sweet Tree by Browns aim was to improve its website from a technical perspective and then push on to drive Google visibility and sales. What they need was an agency that was proactive and hands-on, happy to move from top-level keyword strategies one minute to fixing broken images the next.

Our Strategy

Initially, we focused on improving the website technically to get it to perform as well as the Sweet Tree by Browns team needed for smooth eCommerce functionality. We then launched a full content strategy aimed at getting the website ranking for both sale-generating chocolate keywords and for informational queries around chocolate, to help raise the authority of the brand with Google and expose it to a new audience.

Throughout all this, we had to remain agile in a rapidly changing and highly competitive industry. Products need updating, UX requirements shift and Google ranking factors constantly evolve. Therefore, we have constantly updated our tactics to match what is needed in the moment and maintain forward momentum.

When we first started working with Bamboo Nine our website was in a bit of a mess, technically. However, through many pain-staking hours they supported us and were able to transform it into a functioning site to serve its purpose, and with much success.

Once the majority of technical work was tackled, they really could focus their efforts on SEO. The increase in volume of traffic and sales through our website versus a year ago is evidence that the work put in by Bamboo Nine reaps its rewards. Our website is ranked 1st on Google for around 40 key related search terms, and our sales for July 2021 Vs 2020 are up 300%!

The Outcome

Between 2019 and 2022, we have taken the site from earning around 1,000 monthly visitors to between 5,000 – 10,000 monthly visitors, with the high watermark currently standing at 15,043.

With this increase, Sweet Tree by Browns managed to significantly increase both overall goal completions and revenue.
