Wyboston Lakes were using Online Travel Agents (OTA’s) to drive bookings for their Hotel and Spa, but were losing 18-30% of revenue through the commission to these platforms. Our aim was to beat the commission and drive as much revenue as possible.

Our Solution

We evaluated the intent of certain keywords and phrasing, and cut out any that were research-based or didn’t show any intent to book.

Maximised visibility for top revenue driving keywords above the OTA’s.

Closely monitored competitors and re-actively optimised bids to ensure the target ROI was achieved .


From January – December 2018 vs the same period last year we saw:


Spa sales increase, from 1,682 to 3,344


Spa revenue increase, from £169,135 to £366,385


Spa ROI increase, from 8.3 to 35.5


Hotel bookings increase, from 563 to 981


Hotel revenue increase, from £93,302 to £142,531
